Whether you know it as a burglar system, intrusion detection, a burglar alarm or something else entirely, a security system exists to make sure your premises cannot be entered without notice. Door and window contacts, glass-break detectors, motion detectors, beam detectors and more secure the perimeter of a business or a home, commercial or residential, hard-wired, wireless, or a combination of both.
The system continuously monitors the integrity of its own devices, while Major Alarm monitors for alarm activity whenever it is armed. Fast response times mean that if the authorities need to be called, it happens quickly enough to matter.
Tailored to how the property is used
Requirements vary a great deal. With so many wineries opening, expanding or remodeling, many have had us install a security system alongside one of our fire alarm systems. Staff often need access to different areas at different times, so systems can be armed as a whole or by area: by the last person to leave, on an automatic schedule, or a combination of both as a fail-safe.
Our systems run at wineries including Comstock Wines and Chateau Montelena, at state facilities such as Caltrans, and in a great many homes.
Retrofitting an existing home
Residential systems have come a long way. Adding one to an existing home no longer means unsightly wiring throughout. Wireless technology has advanced enormously and become far easier on the eye. Wireless devices offer the same security features as wired ones, and failure is virtually non-existent.
