Major Alarm, Inc.

Service & Repair

We service and repair systems of every size, whoever installed them, and we fix the faults other companies could not.

Most alarm companies quote a replacement, because a replacement is easier to sell than a
diagnosis. We work the other way round. Repairing what is already on the wall is usually
faster, always cheaper, and keeps compliance out of your capital budget.

Our team specializes in identifying practical solutions, including complex faults that other companies have not been able to solve. If a panel has been intermittently faulting for a year and nobody can tell you why, that is the kind of call we want.

We will work on a system we did not install

You do not have to have bought from us. We service systems of every size, from a single
alarm panel to large, multi-building properties and entire city blocks, and we can take over
maintenance and monitoring on equipment another company put in. Bring us what you have and
we will tell you honestly what state it is in.

When replacement genuinely is the answer

Sometimes it is, and we will say so plainly, with the reason. Parts that are no longer
manufactured, a panel that cannot meet current code, or a system so far past its life that
repairs stop being economical. What we will not do is reach for that answer first.

What we take on

Fire and security, commercial and residential, on any major brand.

Repair before replacement

Fixing what is there wherever it is practical, including the faults that defeated somebody else.

Takeover of existing systems

We service all major brands and can assume maintenance and monitoring on equipment we did not install.

Failed inspections put right

Deficiencies from an NFPA 72 inspection followed through to sign-off, not just written up.

POTS lines retired

Ageing copper replaced with robust, NFPA 72-approved cellular communicators.

Emergency and scheduled work

Faults handled when they happen, and routine service planned around how you use the building.

Honest diagnosis

Every quote in writing, and a straight answer about whether the repair is worth doing.

Already paying for monitoring elsewhere?

It is worth a conversation. There is a good chance we can reduce your monthly monitoring cost, and that is a recurring line you get back for the rest of the budget.
